Indonesia In 30 Years

I think that in 30 years which is 2046, Indonesia will be more stable, we will have a better financial state and we will have MRTs in big cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya. We will be able to export more of our goods to lots of countries and get money for the country. I don't really think that the people will be able to change because that's a more challenging task. There's like 250 million people in Indonesia, and if everyone changes it would take probably 100 years. I really hope that the education has changed, and children don't feel forced to go to school anymore, I hope that teachers will pay more attention to children in class and children will be able to study based on what they really want. I want children's intelligence to not be graded based on their academics, but from how they interact with others, and how they feel.
In 30 years, Indonesia will have a great team of representations in the UN (hopefully including me!) and we will be able to have great thinkers who will have solutions when no other country has. I hope that people will no longer ask where is Indonesia, because everyone will know where Indonesia is and what Indonesia has contributed for the world.

Kunjungan ke Rumah Kerabat

Saat tanggal 6 kemarin, aku berkunjung ke rumah teman dekat orangtuaku, Tante Fridia. Tante Fridia ini juga kerap disebut sebagai Tante Kemprit oleh beberapa orang. Menuju ke rumah Tante Fridia, aku naik angkot Cicaheum-Sarijadi dari Setrasari Mall, lalu turun di Pasar Sarijadi, dan jalan menuju perumahan Setraduta. Disana, aku langsung disapa oleh keluarga itu dan mulai berbicara dengan ringan. Tante Fridia ini adalah orang asli Bandung, lahir dan besar di kota kembang. Sedari SD, ia bersekolah di sekolah yang sama sampai SMA—Santa Angela. Dari sinilah ia mengenal beberapa orangtua Semi Palar, diantaranya Tante Citra, ibunya Ravi dan tante Vinca, ibunya Marcel. Ia juga mengenal Kak Ine, dari masa-masa sekolahnya. Tante Fridia sendiri mengenal orangtuaku dari komunitas saat kuliah, GEMA. Nyaba Lembur: Our Live In Experience (MEP #3)

  Hello! So I’m here again to tell my experience when I went on the Live in with my class last May. So, it was a 2 day experience in a village called Babakan Ranca in Southern Bandung. We had a preparation in class for around a week, where we packed our stuff and sorted out the clothes that would be most appropriate for living in a village, the stuff that was necessary and unnecessary, how to pack lightly and worked on our manners and Sundanese phrases. We left for the village on a Wednesday I think, and came back on a Friday. It was the 19 th of May when we went there. We got there on an  which was payed to drive us all the way to the village so we didn’t have to switch angkots   like we use to. I think it was around 2 hours driving, with us stopping twice, once was when Jojo had to pee and when Tia was feeling nausea (Tia and Jojo were on different  angkots ). Mid Semester Exhibition

For the last three days, Anjasmoro, Malabar and Sinabung has been busy coordinating a mid-semester exhibition and also a presentation on our newly finished projects.  Anjasmoro and Malabar presented their projects in groups, whilst Sinabung had a private presentation with Kakak about their learning process. Anjasmoro presented their projects in a short video of each of them narrating problems in Bandung that are sensed with our mouth, our nose, our ears, our eyes and our hands. They narrated it with the help of wooden cubes that are covered in illustrations of the problems they encountered. As they are quite new to presentating in front of many people, I can sense that the majority of them were still very timid and shy while presentating, whilst I could see some of them excelling and confidently explaining their videos.
