Yesterday on Thursday 19 th , my friends and I embarked (embark might be a little too pretentious for this outing) on a little outing across Alun-alun Bandung and it’s surroundings. We went to Pasar Baru , the train station and the angkot terminal. We also had to stop to taste Bandung’s culinary on the road. We were given 4 locations, and my group thought that we were supposed to try food at every location, but it was supposed to be at only one location. Oh well, more the food the better. We got bola-bola obi at Jl. ABC, we bought two of them. One is sold for a quite cheap Rp1.000. We eventually bought two, but Raka decided not to eat it (he was supposed to share with jordy) so Jordy got a whole. But Ara and I protested because it was not fair so eventually Raka had a half.   Hello! So I’m here again to tell my experience when I went on the Live in with my class last May. So, it was a 2 day experience in a village called Babakan Ranca in Southern Bandung. We had a preparation in class for around a week, where we packed our stuff and sorted out the clothes that would be most appropriate for living in a village, the stuff that was necessary and unnecessary, how to pack lightly and worked on our manners and Sundanese phrases. We left for the village on a Wednesday I think, and came back on a Friday. It was the 19 th of May when we went there. We got there on an  which was payed to drive us all the way to the village so we didn’t have to switch angkots   like we use to. I think it was around 2 hours driving, with us stopping twice, once was when Jojo had to pee and when Tia was feeling nausea (Tia and Jojo were on different  angkots ). Hello again! Now I’m about to rant about what I expect on the Big Trip to Central Java (we don’t know the city yet) and what I would like to encounter there. Well, firstly I would totally love going to Semarang or Jogjakarta. I personally don’t like Solo as much as Jogja or Semarang. I would like Lasem as well if the theme is about Batik because I adore Lasem made Batik patterns that are so detailed and small, different from Jogja’s which usually have big patterns. If the theme is on food, I would love going to Semarang, because the inner Javanese in me loves food with lots of soy sauce, which Semarang owns. I also love their mie Jawa , because who doesn’t? Just saying, my tongue is very Javanese. I also like Soto Kudus and the sate kerang (I think it was clams) but it’s such a shame that I’m highly allergic to quail eggs, so I can’t eat the quail egg satay that is so popular in Kudus.   Okay, enough of the foods, I would want to talk about cultural experiences I would l...

Hello readers of my blog!   As because I am currently suffering from a mild flu and a very deep regret after I messed up my graph in the math remedial (Yes, it was a remedial) (yes it's math not maths I was raised Australian) so I decided to update my blog! So diligent. So for my English Project, I am writing about immigration which caught my attention after the contaversional Donald Trump speech that made lot's of latina/o's protest. But if there's no latina/o's who would make your tacos Mr. Trump? FYI, natives make the most delicious. Back to the topic. I saw a research that stated in the next years there will be more immigrants than the white American population, so if the society still refuses to accept immigrants they shall be very doomed. Hello! This is quite a hard topic, considering from time to time I had so much books I've enjoyed, and I was supposed to pick one. But I just can't, so heres a long list of my favourite books so far. One of my most enjoyed series must be from Madeleine L'Engle. I especially loved the "Wrinkle In Time", "A Swiftly Moving Planet" and "Many Waters". I loved how The Murry's get along so well, and how sweet Meg and Calvin are, just like a regular family, but they are also at the same time the most genius people. I loved how the house held somekind of homey coziness even though it is just in a book. As I read about Meg drinking her cocoa in the storm, I felt as it was raining as well, and when Charles Wallace was disappearing I felt Meg's sorrow. I felt the twins shivers as they entered Mother's laboratory, and their curiousity as they made cocoa on Mother's Bunsen burner. I was also captivated at the physics in this ...
